3am-4am Jitterbug heaven
I got off of work at 1am, quick stop at home to get fishing poles and tackle, then take off to camp an hour and half away. It was a moonless stary night, so while star gazzing for August's metor showers for a little while, I deside to throw my favorite night time lure, JitterBug.
With a falling star in the sky, 1st cast yeilds this nice 3am smallie.

Along with 4-5 more shooting stars, the smallies were hanging around the boat launch so they were easy picken's off the launching dock.

Throwing Jitterbugs at night in the summer is so rewarding. I love the sound of the Jitterbug bubbling back to the rod, even better when a big smallies sucks/pops on it and with tension on the line, set the hook, Fish On!
